Position Overview
GAMMA Sports is seeking a dynamic and strategic Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle management of our racquet sports portfolio, with a focus on tennis, pickleball, and padel. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our product lines—identifying market opportunities, defining product benefits, and ensuring execution excellence from concept through commercialization.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of racquet sports (as a player, coach, or industry professional) combined with strong product management expertise and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
Define and drive the product roadmap across tennis, pickleball, and padel categories
Identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and whitespace opportunities within the racquet sports market
Lead the development of new products from concept through launch, including positioning, feature sets, and pricing strategy
Clearly articulate key product benefits, differentiation, and target consumer for all new product initiatives
Lifecycle Management
Own the full product lifecycle—from ideation to launch to end-of-life decisions
Continuously evaluate product performance and recommend improvements, extensions, or discontinuations
Partner with sales and marketing to optimize product assortments and maximize revenue opportunities
Supplier & Product Execution
Work closely with global suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure all products meet GAMMA’s quality standards, specifications, and timelines
Manage product specifications, materials, and performance standards across all categories
Collaborate with supply chain to ensure cost targets and margins are achieved
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with marketing to develop compelling go-to-market strategies, messaging, and content
Support sales teams with product training, positioning, and key selling tools
Work with suppliers to bring innovative, high-performance products to market
Market & Competitive Insights
Conduct ongoing competitive analysis across tennis, pickleball, and padel categories
Stay deeply connected to the racquet sports community, including players, coaches, retailers, and influencers
Leverage insights to inform product innovation and brand positioning
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in sporting goods or consumer products
Strong background in tennis, pickleball, and/or padel (playing experience highly preferred)
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products
Experience working with international suppliers and manufacturing partners
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Passion for racquet sports and a deep understanding of the player mindset
Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.
